Designs can be many, but it’s always challenging to save space without having to compromise with the beauty and aesthetics while furnishing and decorating a room. Here we have compiled pics of some innovative yet contemporary designs for kids rooms from Italian maker Mariani which is based in Milan.

Apart from making kids rooms bright, ventilated and colorful, the focus is on using sleek furniture giving way for space. This can be achieved through corner wardrobes or wardrobes with sliding and conventional doors, long sleek shelves, low cots and so forth. The trick is also to use the right blend of colors and contrasts between the walls and the décor to make the room appear spacious. Kids rooms should be organized to create free space which would provide them with the play area within their rooms while they are indoors.

Light, smooth, sleek and compact make can be used for the desks, tables and chairs comprising the study area. Corner stands will be ideal for table lamps or for placing little works of art. Cots with storage space under, low floor beds or bunk beds would to a great extent save space. The idea of using tables with multiple drawers or wardrobes with enough number of shelves or as the case may be is a smart approach towards saving space without having to opt for more means of storage.

0 Fresh and Innovative Storage Solutions

This home is based in Highbury, North London, relatively close to the new Arsenal stadium. Although the clients gave us almost complete artistic control they also provided us with numerous specifications that needed to be fulfilled. It was of paramount importance that the ‘living room’ be spacious as the owners often use the room for yoga. In order to make the most of the available space in the room we designed beautiful bespoke shelving as well as a seating area by the window which also acted as a storage system for yoga mats!

The clients also specified that the room should have more of a ‘winter’ feel to it: in order to achieve the necessary warmth we chose a attention commanding blue which we felt was soothing and fresh, as well as inviting. The bedroom also required bespoke storage in order to house a number of items that would otherwise clutter the room. Many of the panels behind the bed are actually storage compartments and even the platform upon which the bed sits houses deep drawers. 0 Indoor Pool Inspiration

You would be forgiven for thinking this to be an exclusive spa or resort but you are in fact looking at the stunning photos of Les Bains Des Docks(The Bath by the Docks) Aquatic Center in Le Havre, France, a public aquatic centre. Designed by architectural firm Ateliers Jean Nouvel the centre includes more than six indoor and outdoor pools including an Olympic sized lap pool.

The indoor pool areas are almost entirely white, the blue and white contrast beautifully, culminating in a relaxing atmosphere, while skylights allow plenty of natural daylight in.

The outdoor lap pool with its constant movement, the ever changing sky and the coming and going of people provide an organic softness to the geometric, boxiness and starkness of the white building.

Another outdoor pool with a fabulous waterfall feature and a glass viewing area for those in need of extra relaxation.

Water features help to add movement and height to areas. These ones, located in the vivid children’s area create even more fun for children and adults alike.

Water walls add interest but also serve to separate different areas. A glimpse of colour in other wise white surroundings draw you in.

The view from above the children’s pool area shows the various heights and geometric construction.

The children’s play area has an almost lego like construction quality about it, it’s busy, it’s bright, it’s fun but step out into the pool area and the starkness transports you back in time, reminiscent of the old Roman Baths.
